Linda Singleton

Linda is the President and founder of Bookkeeping Assistant. After serving in the Navy as an IT for a little over five years, she took advantage of the Montgomery GI bill and went back to school. She graduated, with honors, from Midwestern State University with her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting.

While in school she worked at H&R Block and part-time as a payables clerk for an oil company.

When she moved back to Virginia, she found a position with a CPA, whom she assisted, of course during tax season, and on and off throughout the year with audit testing.

While not doing taxes and audit testing, she worked as a full-charge bookkeeper for a land clearing and restoration company. Although most of her experience is in construction, she has gained knowledge of various industries from assisting with the audit testing and taxes, and has gained more experience in other industries since starting Bookkeeping Assistant.

Linda is continually expanding her knowledge. She went back to school and received an Accounting Information Systems Graduate Certificate, as well as passing the Enrolled Agent exam. As an enrolled agent, Linda is able to practice before the IRS.

With her vast experience in bookkeeping, taxes, and audits, she has the knowledge to help with any situation that arises.

Loraine GarcĂ­a, MBA

Accomplished, dedicated and driven accounting professional with 10+ years of experience. Loraine obtained her Master in Business Administration with a major in Accounting in 2008 and her Bachelor in Business administration with a major in Finance in 2003. Since then she has worked for a variety of companies that have provided her with knowledge from a wide range of industries. In 2015, she joined Bookkeeping Assistant Inc. where she had the opportunity to work with multiple small businesses, providing them with services such as bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes. She is a certified tax preparer for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury. In 2018, she also became a Notary Public for the state of Virginia.

She has been specializing in personalized tax preparation and accounting services since 2009. In addition to her certified accounting training, she has the skills, knowledge and determination necessary to handle all your accounting needs. She excels at analyzing information and identifying ways to reduce operating costs and increase profitability. She is ready to tackle any challenges and begin her role as your trusted tax planner and accountant.
